my cousins in Modica passed on a CD called La Contea di Modica and this song struck me as one we could have fun with. It’s in the triplet feel that many associate with Sicilan music and the tarantella, and Louis introduces it quite authentically on the accordion prior to the band taking it in a new direction and I figured if I put it in 7/4 no one would confuse it with a tarantella.
